Please note, some pictures can be very graphic. My favourite set so far is from  MSNBC.

Some highlights of 2005.

Most asked question (more like, most remembered question) of 2005:

During car meets/cruises, I got asked, "Is that thing turbo?" or "Fresh rideee... turbo??" or "What car is it again?!" I lol'd.

When I was working for Guide Dogs last year I got asked this question a million times on the phone. I don't really keep track but I've probably been asked more or less a dozen times this year, "Are you from America?" or "Are you American?" or "Did you grow up in America?" I blame cable tv.

Best day:

Spontaneously went down the coast with friends after exams and didn't care or worry about anything for a day. Discovered the best ice-cream place and how weird it is for asians to walk bear-feet around there.

Most stupidest/blonde moment:

I'm late for accounting, I remember where the lecture hall was vaguely (second week of uni ok), looked through the tiny window on the door and the powerpoint slides, it has some numbers on it, so I walk in. It's packed, shit, need a seat, quick. Cos you know when you walk in late and everyone just looks at you... yeah, I tried avoiding that. Looked around, noticed this aren't the usual people I see. It took me 15-20 seconds to realise I was in the wrong room after the lecturer started talking about.... I have no clue.

My accounting class was the next room.

Music:

Started listening to all different kinds of music other than the usual stuff I listen to. Discovered the wonders of the acoustic (again). Learnt a few songs by Stephen Speaks and Jack Johnson... well, still trying to.

Love:

Discovered how much love hurts when things get sour, twice. But also discovered what true love is. It sucks I didn't discover this earlier in the year, would've saved me a couple of times. No regrets though.

Religion:

Learnt how to be thankful and forgiving. Started praying alot more.

Sister:

She got engaged on her birthday, and I haven't even met the dude, saw a few pics and he looks like a kid! When the family was reunited again (I say reunited because I've been apart from my parents for a year and sister for 2 years), I learnt how to be patient through her, she can be so annoying sometimes.

Most stupidest and embarrassing moments:

First week of second semester, went to my friends tutorial, a subject I did last semester, I thought it would be okay but nooo... the tutor was one of the most tight-ass tutors you'll ever meet, ever. I paniced and got brain-dead when he asked why my name wasn't on the roll, I stupidly replied with, "I'm with a friend" Wow... that was dumb. I should've said I missed my allocated class... ah well.

It's the Christmas season and I'm in National Book Store and it's pretty crazy trying to find things when there's a billion things happening, so I try and look for a sales girl. I approach this lady and ask, "Miss, meron po kayong <insert book name>?" (Translation, Do you have this book). Her reply, "Ai sorry po, hindi ako sales girl dito!" (Translation, I'm sorry, i'm not a sales girl!) "AHHH!!! Ganun ba? Okay!! Sorry ah!" That was the moment I felt like an ass, but she seriously looked like she was working there!

I'll update this as I think up of more stuff.

Merry Christmas!

Fact: The christmas tree you see there is older than I am, way older. I remember the time when I used to look up and wish I could touch the top... don't have that problem anymore.

Christmas decorations are as old as the tree, my mom collected a few here and there over the years, I think the Ski Panda is the oldest - it's not as white as I remembered it...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful and safe Christmas.
